What happens if we Brexit without a deal?
In the event of a ‘no-deal’ Brexit on 29 March 2019, a Green Card will be required as evidence of motor insurance for travel within the European Union and EU approved countries (including Ireland, Andorra, Serbia and Switzerland).
How will Green Cards be generated and issued?
As your broker, we will be able to issue an Annual Green Card for our customers from 1 March 2019.
Will there be any change to the level of cover currently provided for travel within the European Union and EU approved countries (including Andorra, Serbia and Switzerland)?
No – the level of cover as defined within the Foreign Use section of your policy wording will remain the same. The Green Card will provide evidence that you have the required minimum (third party) cover and the policy wording will continue to set the annual limit for full policy cover.
What about Caravans or Trailers?
You’ll be able to add a caravan or trailer to the Green Card. The Green Card will provide evidence that you have the required minimum (third party) cover and the policy wording will continue to set the annual limit for full policy cover.(if included).
